Kmart are modernising and optimising our end-to-end supply chain systems and operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, deliver a safer working environment for our team and faster delivery of products that delight our customers to nearly 500 stores throughout Australia and New Zealand. We are creating the next generation of retail supply chain technology with be a focus across our warehouse management, transport/logistics, inventory optimisation, and demand and forecasting systems.   

 

As a Manhattan QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of software solutions that support warehouse management and supply chain operations. You will work closely with product development teams to ensure that all functionalities within the Manhattan suite meet the business requirements, are defect-free, and perform optimally under all conditions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and work with various frameworks to deliver exceptional software products.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts for Manhattan Active software (WMS - Warehouse Management System) and other integrated supply chain applications.

 

  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure software quality across different test environments
  • Perform system, integration, and end-to-end testing of Manhattan Active with different modules (inbound, outbound, inventory management, appointments, yard management, etc)
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand system requirements and ensure proper test coverage
  • Identify, report, and track software defects using a defect management system
  • Provide detailed test documentation, including defect reports, status updates, and test metrics
  • Review and validate business requirements and ensure that test plans align with those requirements
  • Participate in Agile sprint cycles, attend daily stand-ups, and ensure timely completion of testing tasks within each sprint
     

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

 

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably with Manhattan Active WMS or similar supply chain management systems
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience of Manhattan WMS modules and functionality is a must
  • Experience in testing complex enterprise applications and understanding of warehouse management and logistics workflows
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Karate, JUnit, TestNG)
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams
  • Familiarity with continuous integration (CI/CD) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to document defects, test results, and status reports clearly
