Department Managers at Kmart live and breathe the Kmart values. They are responsible for recruiting, leading, developing and coaching their team members. Department Managers work along side their teams to drive motivation, high standards and create a safe working and team culture within their store.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience as a manager across either a big box or high-volume retail environment
• A passion for delivering results that will motivate your team
• Experience coaching and leading large and diverse teams
• Values that reflect a high level of commitment to ‘safety’, always thinking ‘customer’ and a belief in constantly motivating your team to ‘reach higher’ every day.
• The ability to foster strong relationships with team members, peers, customers and leaders

What you’ll need:

• Be driven and ambitious, always thinking bigger!
• Be able to adapt to change quickly and positively and able to think on your feet.
• Be resilient and have ability to work at a fast pace, keeping your team focused and motivated.
• Like variety in your work, everyday is different at Kmart.
• Be physically fit and ready to work along side your team to demonstrate great standards across merchandising and safety
