An exciting new opportunity for a Profit Protection Manager to the join the Kmart Group (Kmart & Target). Reporting to the Head of Profit Protection, the Profit Protection Manager is responsible for developing, drive, coaching, influencing, and communicating business shrinkage reduction strategies throughout our store operations network. This role is a key player in providing high-level support to stores, Zone, and State Managers, contributing to the significant reduction of losses across the organisation as well as providing training and awareness packages that support in all aspects of shrinkage reduction and EBIT maximisation.


This is a new role for the successful incumbent to put their mark on! 

 

 

What you’ll be doing

As a Profit Protection Manager working for Kmart Group (Kmart & Target) you will:  

 

  • Leading and implementing the Profit Protection strategy & programs including policies/procedures to reduce loss and shrinkage
  • Identifying, reporting, and providing sustainable solutions of anomalies in existing policies and procedures determining and implementing the Profit Protection Shrinkage reduction strategy in order to achieve established objectives and milestones within agreed budgets
  • Ensuring that compliance to policy, process and procedure is effectively monitored and finding adequate solutions to identified risks.
  • Leading the Integration of compliance into all business practices, ensuring all relevant compliance obligations are adequately incorporated into day-to-day business procedures
  • Accountable for personal and team compliance with internal company policies, procedures and codes, including the Code of Conduct, and all applicable external laws, regulations, standards and industry codes e.g. Fair-Trading laws
  • Influencing, advising, guiding and supporting senior business stakeholders on operational risk.
  • Identifying of risks in existing strategies, policies and procedures and the development of recommendations to reduce risks
  • Lead a team of Profit Protection Business Partners nationwide in delivering our shrinkage strategy and driving change

 

 

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Sound understanding of current and emerging profit protection threats and effective mitigations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across a range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • 5 or more years of retail experience, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the retail environment.
  • Sound knowledge of profit protection strategies and their integration into Retail Operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address profit protection issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey strategies and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven leadership experience, particularly in a Profit Protection leadership/management role.
