Reporting to the General Manager of Supply Chain, you will be joining a newly established team focussed on taking Kmart’s Supply Chain function to the next level.  This is a great time to join the team and really make your mark!


What You’ll Be Doing

As the Head of Continuous Improvement, you will:

  • Develop a culture of operational excellence through championing and leading supply chain transformation
  • Introduce methodologies for Continuous improvement and problem solving - six sigma, VSM and lean.
  • Facilitate improvement methodology training
  • Coach and mentor project teams
  • Establish a PMO with standardised processes for project initiation, reporting and benefit tracking.
  • Collate all the supply chain projects in line with budgeted improvements and develop review cadence
  • Responsible with the sponsors to deliver the budgeted improvements
  • Assist operations with best practice initiatives such as visual boards, standard operating procedures, automated KPI's and reporting cadence to support the Next Generation Program DC Automation
  • Establish process management system in line with the supply chain operational excellence best practice model



To be successful in this role you will have:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Businses or related field
  • 10 - 15 years’ experience managing large projects, coaching, reviewing and delegating work
  • Visionary thinker but also pragmatic and efficient doer
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an environment of high activity, competing priorities and time pressures.
  • Extensive experience leading complex cross-functional projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate with influence
  • Excellent people leadership, stakeholder management skills, together with well developed negotiation skills
  • Strong problem solving skills, including using data and insights to drive recommendations
