Join our team
As a Technical Lead you will be joining our International Supply Chain IT team. The team is responsible for the systems that support Kmart's international supply chain, and the B2B Gateway.Â
Â
You will work with Kmart’s international trade systems, and liaise with many of the world’s suppliers, freight forwarders and shipping lines. You will work with the B2B Gateway which is the critical communication hub to 3rd parties, supporting multiple data flows of logistics and financial information. The team are preparing for a world-class supply chain transformation, and the modernisation of architectural practices, which will directly impact how Kmart products arrive in Stores for customers.

As a Technical Lead in the Supply Chain team, you will lead a team of experienced developers as well mentor junior developers. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of applications and technologies. This role offers large scope and complexity of systems.
What you’ll be doingÂ

- As a technical lead you will have responsibility for overall technical function and quality of the international trade and B2B applications.
- Manage a team of four to five engineers
- Be responsible for vendor engagement
- Work within an Agile Squad and liaise broadly with stakeholders within the IT group and multiple business areas
- Fully contribute to Kmart’s Supply Chain transformation

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
Â
- Strong end-to-end software development background preferably with Java or C#
- Exposure to NodeJS based development and frameworks like NextJs and NestJs
- Experience in end-to-end software development using Java and NodeJSÂ
- Proven team management experience
- Proven experience in distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Experience in Agile methodologies specifically Scrum
- Experience in DevOps practices like CI/CD, observability, automation with exposure to tools like Github Actions, SumoLogic etc.
- Good understanding of database management Oracle database, MS SQL server, Postgres
- Good understanding of cloud technology, preferably AWS.
- Experience in digital transformation and/or B2B projects
- Background in Supply Chain and Retail industry would be highly desirable
