As a core contributor to our sustainability team, you'll turn data into action to drive circular economy strategies and emissions reduction. You'll analyse and visualise sustainability data, conduct lifecycle assessments, and support ESG reporting while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborating across teams—including buying, sourcing, supply chain, and store operations—you’ll lead and support impactful sustainability initiatives. Your insights will shape business strategies, helping us reduce our carbon footprint and advance our long-term sustainability goals.

What you’ll be doing
Â
As a Sustainability Analyst at Kmart Group, you’ll be:
Â
- Analysing and visualising sustainability data using Excel, Power BI, or Python to track environmental impact.
- Conducting lifecycle assessments (LCA), carbon footprint analysis, and supporting ESG reporting.
- Aggregating data across the organization to develop the annual Scope 3 inventory.
- Ensuring compliance with sustainability reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Leading or supporting sustainability projects using agile methodologies and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborating across teams to integrate sustainability into business strategies and drive emissions reduction.
- Identifying and supporting data-driven sustainability opportunities and initiatives.
- Developing reports, presentations, and communications to convey sustainability insights.
- Leading circular economy initiatives in partnership with buying, sourcing, supply chain, and store operations teams.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
Â
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Python for sustainability data modelling and automation
- Experience with Lifecycle Assessments (LCA), carbon footprint analysis, and ESG reporting.
- Knowledge of sustainable materials and circular economy principles
- Familiarity with FMCG, retail or sourcing business environments & processes
- Experience in agile methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and impact measurement for sustainability initiatives.
- Awareness of emerging sustainability trends and active participation in industry discussions.
- Ability to convey complex sustainability concepts to various stakeholders
- Proactive attitude and passion for sustainability.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Sustainability / Environmental Management is preferred but not requiredÂ
