Kmart Platform Services team are looking to bring on board a Service Design Lead. We are an internal team whose customers are internal developers and application teams. We develop and manage multiple platforms such as Cloud (AWS), API Management (Kong), Event Driven (Confluent) and Developer Tools.

 

We want to provide services which simplify and enhance the software development and operational process by providing the common services which development team use, thus removing the needs for each of them to develop their own solutions. Our team empowers developers to be autonomous through our self-service platforms.

 

About You

 

  • Demonstrated hands on experience with all parts of the service design journey including planning, user research, journey mapping, opportunity identification, stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Work across multiple and simultaneous projects of all sizes and complexity across multiple platforms
  • Run effective design critiques
  • Utilise your solid understanding of Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking principles
  • Work with resourcing to ensure pipeline and capacity needs are met
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders and the engineering team about insights and strategic design requirement

 

Your Experience

 

  • Previous experience as a Designer, UX/CX, Product Owner or User Researcher where you have experience with planning and conducting design research
  • You have worked extensively with Experience Design methodologies principles and process
  • You are a storyteller by nature, and have the ability to create Customer Journey Maps, concepts and Personas
