At Kmart Australia, we're seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Online Personalisation Squad. As a member of our team Kmart Online team, you'll be one of a group of expert developers playing a pivotal role in building and enhancing a best-in-breed marketing and loyalty platform that empowers us to deliver personalized experiences to our valued customers.
What you’ll be doing

Developing and implementing enhancements to our online personalisation capabilities for our Web and Mobile shopping experiences, leveraging AWS and Node.JS.

Working in concert with our Data Scientists and Data Engineers to build best-in-class online shopping experiences.

Demonstrating expertise in Rest API development, building seamless integration and communication between systems.

Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

Driving the delivery of software through modern DevOps practices, emphasizing CI/CD and automation testing for optimal efficiency and reliability.

Contributing to the maintenance of existing products and the development of new features on existing applications that position our business at the cutting edge of retail technology.

Showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.

Playing a key role in requirements gathering and technical design, contributing to the overall success of the development process.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
-
Proven experience in Full Stack web development using Typescript (Node.js preferred).

Track record of delivering software through modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automation testing and working knowledge of Github & Github Actions.

Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
-
Proficiency in API development using REST.
-
Coding and unit testing of new software products using clean code principles.

Experience in maintaining existing products and developing new features on existing applications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Outstanding collaboration and communication skills.

Candidate with experience building software for large scale eCommerce businesses are encouraged to apply.
