At Kmart Australia, we're seeking a Senior Marketing Technology Engineer to join our dynamic MarTech team. As a member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of our customer interactions by harnessing data and technology to create direct marketing best practices. This exciting role offers you the opportunity to work on cross-channel customer experiences, spanning on-site, mobile, paid media, and more. You'll play a pivotal role in building and enhancing a best-in-breed marketing and loyalty platform that empowers us to deliver personalized experiences to our valued customers.
What you’ll be doingÂ
- Owning and driving the technical implementation, integration, and optimisation of Braze across our digital platforms.
- Collaborate with marketing, data, and engineering teams to deliver highly personalised, automated customer journeys (push, in-app, SMS, email)
- Staying ahead of the curve with Braze’s latest features and industry trends to continuously improve our martech ecosystem.
- Provide engineering services to cross-functional development and data teams, fostering rapid innovation.
- Delivering highly complex, cross-channel customer experiences across 1:1 channels, including on-site, mobile, paid media, and more.
- Contributing to the establishment and enhancement of a best-in-breed marketing and loyalty platform.
- Innovating marketing strategies and optimizing customer journeys.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data flow or integration issues across Braze, Tealium CDP, and other Martech tools (like Optimizely, Google Tag Manager, New Relic, etc.).
- Collaborating with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Proven experience implementing and scaling Braze in a production environment (SDKs, APIs, Webhooks, Currents, etc.)
- An in-depth understanding of the entire web development process, with a strong emphasis on experimentation and continuous learning.
- Familiarity with CDPs (Customer Data Platforms), such as Tealium AudienceStream, Segment, event tracking, and marketing automation best practices.
- Strong technical skills across JavaScript, JSON, REST APIs, and preferably mobile SDKs (iOS/Android).
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git, SVN, or TFS.
- Proficiency in Tag Management platforms like Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, or Tealium iQ.
- Knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) platforms such as Optimizely, Dynamic Yield, or Adobe Target.
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, GA4), and experimentation platforms is nice to have.
