We are seeking a Senior Engineer to be the face of our team for DevSecOps and Cloud Security, joining a small group of specialist security engineers. You will not only lead the charge in integrating security practices into our DevOps processes but also oversee end-to-end security for our AWS cloud environments. This includes securing infrastructure, applications, and services, ensuring that our systems are protected throughout their entire lifecycle.
 

What you’ll be doing

  • Leveraging your expertise to work with our development teams, ensuring security is present in the development process from the start.
  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools to detect vulnerabilities early in the development process.
  • Implementing security best practices in cloud environments (AWS) and containerised platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Support agent deployment, bakehouse and cloud security tool and technology deployments
  • Mentoring engineers to build solutions using best practice secure coding practices.
  • Identifying security gaps and strategizing mitigation plans, ensuring robust cloud security.


To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • A strong background in integrating security practices within DevOps pipelines, with a deep understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitHub).
  • Hands on experience with creating CloudFormation templates, SSM documents for various tasks including creating bakehouse images, agent deployments and other automations.
  • Knowledge on AWS cloud native security tools
  • Hands on experience around best practices and implementing/configuring security controls (encryption, key management, SSM, Network security, IAM) for cloud workloads
  • Knowledge of specialist DevSecOps/Cloud Security tools like WIZ, Prisma Cloud and SNYK.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with developers, operations, and security teams.
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest security technologies, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
