This newly created role of Regulatory Affairs and Strategy Manager at Kmart Group will focus on creating and delivering a comprehensive regulatory engagement strategy for Kmart Group.
Being a leadership role within the business you'll support the growth and development of your team whilst having the chance to make a real impact on how we operate and our strategic plans for the future.
What you’ll be doing
- Oversee centralised governance including policy and maturing the corporate compliance management framework with strategy development, control testing and attestation activities that are aligned with international best practices.
- Build and maintain solid working relationships with State and Commonwealth regulators to assist in effective management of compliance issues.
- Develop insights and action/treatment plans for further improvement based on learnings from engaging with the regulator and reviewing the control environment.
- Analysing the regulatory landscape and providing strategic insights into materials for senior stakeholders, outlining current and emerging regulatory risks and trends.
- Managing responses to regulatory requests and working closely with business areas to ensure Kmart Group understands and delivers against regulatory expectations.
- Design and maintain a compliance management framework that meets international standards and best practices, ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements across the organization.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- 5-7 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or a related field, preferably within a regulated industry.
- A Relevant qualification in Compliance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ideally experience managing ACCC engagement.
- Strong knowledge of legal and compliance principles.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced or intricately regulated environment, where meeting strict deadlines is paramount.
- Demonstrated expertise in crafting and implementing training programs and frameworks.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, changing environment.
- Comfort in shaping and positioning packs/messaging at Senior Leader level
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- The capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, fostering a culture of shared success.
