We have an exciting new opportunity for an Online Marketplace Manager to develop and bring our new sales channel to life! In this role, you will be responsible for profitably maximising online sales growth through the Marketplace, by analysing customer and market trends, and collaborating with Marketplace Sales, Marketplace Operations, Online Trade and Marketing. Embed online and digital first thinking into the business, through enhancing how we work with core stakeholders and driving transparency of strategic trade insight and influence.
What you’ll be doing
As an Online Marketplace Manager working for Kmart you will:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Define customer-centric sales and customer growth strategies that are scalable and forward looking
- Own and develop long term Strategic Trade Plan for Marketplace online and manage implementation to deliver best results
- Use customer insights and data to identify key growth opportunities & blockers at a macro level
- Provide direction and collaborate with Product, Online Merchandising and Technology to deliver initiatives
- Identify and drive opportunity to improve basket economics and profitability of Marketplace categories
- Be responsible for driving the ideation and planning of Marketplace trade initiatives, working closely with Product to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, are scalable and align with the online vision
- Drive “trade” thinking, identifying and capitalising on all trade opportunities profitability
To be successful in this role you’ll have:Â
- 3-5 years’ comparable experience in retail, preferably digital/ecommerce trade and Marketplace business models
- Strong track record of delivering outstanding customer, commercial and financial results
- General management, ie experience leading teams across multiple domains
- Experience developing and executing commercial strategies, especially trade strategy and customer acquisition & retention
- Proven ability to create a high-performing, customer-centric culture
- Prior discount retail experience strongly preferred, ideally in an EDLP environment
- In-depth understanding of and ability to lead key subject areas, including trading/merchandising, sales forecasting, performance analysis and merchandise planning and management
