What you’ll be doing:
As our new Merchandise Inventory Manager, you will lead a team of Inventory Managers who are responsible for replenishing and allocating merchandise from DCs to Stores. You will implement action plans by undertaking regular proactive analysis of overall merchandise performance to ensure we meet our financial objectives and have the right stock, in the right place at the right time to continually delight our customers!
Some of the key responsibilities are (but not limited to):
• Deliver improved Lost Sales delivery by managing the E2E Merchandise process of Demand Plan, Order and Execution
• Review current performance and provide updated forecasts which ensure transparency of performance against KPI’s.
• Ensure insights, actions and optimization opportunities are presented through the Merchandise Forecast Review and TPR process
• Drive DIFOT supplier improvement
• Review and maintain the integrity of Demand and Fulfilment settings and parameters
• Lead with values and commitment to the execution of the Kmart Strategy of “10-1-6”
To be successful in this role:
We're looking for a high performing leader who will bring a curious and data-driven mind-set as well as a passion for all things Retail! You love focussing on product, customers are always front of mind and building and managing relationships with a variety of key stakeholders is one of your strengths. We'd also love you to have:
• Proven leadership abilities with experience coaching and leading teams to ensure continuous development and career success.
• Sound knowledge of Inventory Management (within a retail environment would be an advantage)
• Effective communication & influencing skills (you will be required to drive local supplier DIFOT improvements as well as producing and communicating local supplier fulfilment forecasts)
• Experience within Retail/Wholesale/Manufacturing, Merchandise Planning
• Experience in Allocations, Demand and Fulfilment systems
• Proven ability to execute action plan deliverables in a timely manner
• Demonstrated Business Analysis experience
• Ability to manage and interpret data
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective numerical, critical thinking and analytical skills
• High degree of Excel knowledge and experience with Power BI
