The Health and Safety team are actively seeking an Injury and Wellbeing Advisor to support Team Members in VIC / QLD to return to pre-injury capacity following an injury or illness. In this role, you will support Kmart’s overall wellbeing strategy and develop and promote injury management strategies as well as provide coaching and advice to the workplace management teams.
What you’ll be doing
As an Injury and Wellbeing Advisor working for Kmart you will:
- Implement injury management standards and achieving exceptional workers compensation results for the business.
- Consult and provide feedback to case officers on appropriate treatment, rehabilitation, and other services.
- Educating stakeholders on the importance of projects or initiatives that contribute to the reduction of TRIFR, injury prevention and improved health outcomes.
- Review and analyse injury trends to assist in developing proactive injury prevention strategies
- Perform fieldwork to support medical management of cases and return to work.
- Develop and participate in pro-active strategies designed to minimise the duration of incapacity through the promotion of early return-to-work initiatives
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Have demonstrated experience in return-to-work activities
- Exposure to injury management standards and legislation
- Comprehensive understanding of the workers compensation scheme and relevant regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with workers, managers, and medical providers
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise in a dynamic and results-oriented environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in an allied health field (Psychologist, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiologist, Registered Nurse) or related field.
