As an Engineer with Kmart Group, you’ll play a key role in supporting and enhancing our cloud infrastructure solutions for critical business operations. You’ll work across teams in a support model to promote standardisation, automation, and best practices, while solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll provide expert technical guidance, participate in major incident resolution, and contribute to the evolution of Kmart Group’s technology strategies.

What you’ll be doingÂ
As an Engineer working for Kmart Group, you will be:
Â
- Supporting and enhancing cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure or GCP
- Working in data analysis, query building, DB modifications, batch processing, ETL/ELT and file transfer processes
- Stakeholder engagement and IT Service Management including Incident, Change, Problem and Request management
- Code debugging, enhancement, bug fixing and deployments, system monitoring and logs analysis
- Supporting major incident resolution and performing root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence
- Creating detailed technical documentation, including designs and operational procedures
- Collaborating with development, security, and data teams to deliver support and maintain end-to-end solutions
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation using methodologies like DevOps
- Promoting automation and standardisation throughout infrastructure and software delivery
- Sharing knowledge with peers and supporting capability uplift across the technology team
- Staying current with emerging technologies and evaluating their fit for Kmart Group
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering, preferably in a cloud-based environment
- Hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
- Certified at an associate level in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP); professional/specialty level is highly desirable
- Experience working with C#.NET and SQL
- Experience working with integration systems and workflow/automation platforms like Control-M
- Demonstrate expertise in at least one of: software, data, security, or cloud engineering
- Has strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly in an agile environment
- Flexibility to work in an on-call environment on rotation with other team members (salary allowance provided additionally for on-call days)
