We’re seeking a Customer Insights Manager to lead the development and execution of our Merchandise-focused insights plan. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming data into actionable strategies that shape our product range, improve customer experiences, and drive commercial growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop & Execute Insights Plan
Create and maintain a comprehensive Customer Insights plan for Merchandise, ensuring all activities meet team needs and align with business requirements, timelines, and budgets. - Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand information needs, prepare project briefs, and leverage existing data sets to inform decision-making. - Project & Agency Oversight
Manage external research agencies to deliver outcomes on time and within budget, interpreting data to uncover insights and commercial opportunities. - Champion Customer-Centric Changes
Advocate for data-driven decisions within the Merchandise team and the broader business, ensuring insights are correctly interpreted, applied, and embedded in strategic planning. - Collaboration & Mentorship
Partner with the Customer Insights team to align programs of work, share best practices, and collaborate to maximise team ROI and overall effectiveness. - Business Forums & Strategic Sessions
Contribute to key forums such as RBU Customer Planning, Range Reviews (TPRs), and Customer Strategy Sessions, providing data-driven recommendations that shape our product and customer strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Quantitative & Analytical Skills
Proficiency in interpreting research, customer, and business data sets, plus experience with analytics tools (e.g., Q, R) and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI). - Market Research Expertise
Knowledge of quantitative research survey design and proven ability to lead market research projects. - Communication & Presentation
Excellent influencing skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to write clear, impactful reports and presentations. - Customer-Focused Orientation
Adept at translating data into actionable strategies that enhance customer experiences. - Relationship Building
Skilled at working effectively within a time-critical environment, forging strong partnerships with diverse teams. - Retail Background
Prior experience in a merchandise or buying environment, with knowledge of both bricks-and-mortar and online retail, is highly desirable.
