At Kmart Group, we are seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our team as a Commercial Finance Manager. This role will serve as a vital link between our Finance and Marketing/Customer Insights functions, playing a pivotal role in driving financial strategies and insights to support business objectives. This role offers the flexibility to work from either Mulgrave or Williams Landing and is available on a 12 month fixed term contract. What you’ll be doing

 

As a Commercial Finance Manager working for Kmart Group, you will:   

       

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Insights teams to provide financial insights and analysis, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
  • Ensure seamless forecasting and budgeting processes, contributing to the development of financial plans aligned to organizational strategy.
  • Lead cost management initiatives, optimizing expenditures while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to provide financial analysis and make recommendations on investment options and drive actions based on commercial performance
  • Steering the business to deliver results and KPIs through weekly and monthly trade insights, profitability and performance analysis, identification of risks and opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with the broader Finance and business leadership teams and be confident in challenging and influencing outcomes as needed.
  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end and board reporting, providing clear visibility into financial performance and key metrics.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial finance / finance business partnering role.
  • Experience working in Retail, FMCG, Marketing or Digital industry with an in-depth understanding of business operations.
  • Proven track record of driving results and delivering insights that contribute to business success.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills including proficiency in analytical tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience with ERP systems -SAP, TM1 exposure would be beneficial.
  • CPA or CA would be preferred, but not essential
