We’re currently looking for a Classifier & Compiler to join our passionate and collaborative team.

What you’ll be doing
Â
As a Classifier & Compiler, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth importation of Kmart Group’s products. You’ll be responsible for preparing, reviewing custom documentations and lodging customs entries to ensure all imports comply with Australian Customs and Border Protection requirements within the timeline.

You’ll also:
Â
- Compile and lodge import declarations in line with customs and quarantine regulations
- Perform tariff classification, valuation and duty calculation
- Handling queries from ABF and DAFF
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and provide clear and helpful advice
- Staying up to date with customs regulations and industry changes
- Identify opportunities for process improvement

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
You’ll bring strong attention to detail, great organisational skills and a solid understanding of customs and import processes. You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing accuracy and efficiency while supporting your team.

You’ll also have:
Â
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role
- Diploma of Custom Broking (in progress or completed) would be preferred, otherwise current DAFF accreditation is required
- Experience in customs compilation (AQIS), brokerage or freight forwarding
- Understanding of import regulations, tariff codes and Free Trade Agreements
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to help others succeed
