Kmart Group is growing faster than ever, and our Finance team plays a vital role in making it all happen. As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you’ll be right at the centre of keeping our global operations running smoothly.

 

From approving supplier payments to resolving claims and supporting month-end reporting, this role is all about precision, collaboration, and impact. You’ll work across time zones with our offshore team, partner with vendors and stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

 

As an Accounts Payable Administrator working for Kmart Group you will:

 

  • Investigate and resolve international queries from internal & external stakeholders in relation to unpaid or disputed invoices, claims and payments
  • Review and preparation of wharf Cartage validations against rate cards and resolution of discrepancies/disputes
  • Review invoices for GST & tax compliance and approved contracted rates
  • Efficiently addressing and resolving queries from generic Mailboxes.
  • Prepare monthly accruals & business supplier reconciliations
  • Managing international claims and month-end reporting
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
  • Supporting and collaborating with our offshore Business Services team.

 

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

 

  • 2-3 years’ experience in full function Accounts Payable
  • Experience handling foreign currency invoicing would be an advantage
  • Exceptional attention to detail and take initiative in following through to resolution
  • A strong customer focus, sound negotiation skills with a professional approach to stakeholder relationships
  • Effective planning and time management skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
  • Sound knowledge of SAP Financial System (SAP4Hanna) will be highly regarded
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft package with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Well-developed numeracy skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including appropriate manner and ability to effectively handle complex queries
  • Understanding of the basic accounting principles including GST issues.
