Reporting into the Accounts Payable Team Leader, the role of Accounts Payable Administrator is central to the finance function and works within a large team environment. You will work with diverse internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely Kmart’s key strategic projects and corporate plan. The role acts as a trusted business partner for all of our strategic projects and will see you support with business case preparation, quarterly reviews and ad hoc analysis support.
What you’ll be doing
As an Accounts Payable Administrator working for Kmart Group you will:
- Investigate and resolve queries from internal & external stakeholders in relation to unpaid or disputed invoices, claims and payments
- Investigate and resolve queries relating to our Vendor Invoicing Workflow (VIM)
- Efficiently addressing and resolving queries from generic Mailboxes.
- Liaise with distribution centres, stores, suppliers and buying teams to resolve and identify opportunities for improvements
- Prepare monthly accruals & business reconciliations
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Exceptional attention to detail and take initiative in following through to resolution.
- A strong customer focus, sound negotiation skills with a professional approach to stakeholder relationships
- Effective planning and time management skills.
- The ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
- Sound knowledge of SAP Financial System
- Computer literacy including Microsoft package with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Well-developed numeracy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including appropriate manner and ability to effectively handle telephone queries
- Understanding of the basic accounting principles including GST issues.
