At Kmart, we're reinventing the future of retail through world-class automation, technology and supply chain innovation. As we continue to evolve our new state of the art Moorebank Omni Channel Fulfilment Centre (OFC), we're looking for a strong people leader to drive inventory integrity, systems performance and continuous improvement within one of Australia's most advanced automated fulfilment environments. 

 

As the Inventory & Systems Manager, you will play a critical leadership role within the Moorebank OFC leadership team, ensuring inventory accuracy, warehouse systems reliability and operational excellence across both B2B and B2C channels. 

 

This role is ideal for an experienced leader who thrives in highly automated environments and can influence cross-functional stakeholders while leading teams through change, technology adoption and process improvement. 

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading inventory integrity across a large-scale automated fulfilment operation. 
  • Acting as the site subject matter expert for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS, Manhattan Active) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS). 
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service levels, efficiency and system performance. 
  • Partnering with automation providers, technology teams and operational leaders to optimise site performance.  
  • Leading and developing a team of leaders, fostering engagement, accountability and high performance.  
  • Managing cycle counting, auditing, discrepancy investigations and stocktake programs.  
  • Leading root cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective actions for inventory and system issues.  
  • Supporting system upgrades and deployments, testing, implementation and stabilisation activities. 
  • Key member of the team supporting system testing and transition planning prior to go-live.

 

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Proven leadership experience managing leaders and building high-performing teams.  
  • Significant experience within a highly automated logistics, distribution, fulfilment or manufacturing environment.  
  • Strong experience with Warehouse Control and Warehouse Management Systems, with Manhattan experience highly regarded.  
  • Demonstrated success leading inventory management and inventory integrity programs.  
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across operations, technology and external vendors.  
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability, supported by strong data interpretation skills.  
  • Experience delivering change, process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.  
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
