Operations Manager - Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) - Moorebank, Sydney
The Catch Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Moorebank will shortly transfer to be operated by Kmart Group (Kmart and Target). In readiness for this transition, expected in mid-2025, we are growing our site team. This is an amazing opportunity to play a key leadership role that will support the centralised fulfilment of home delivery orders for two of the most loved and iconic Australian retail brands, Kmart and Target.
What you'll be doing:
You will oversee the daily operations of inbound and outbound activities to ensure that safety, service, and financial performance targets are achieved. Your focus will be on fulfilling the vision, ensuring compliance with the Code of Responsibility (COR) and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards to promote safety, uphold values, and enhance Lean continuous improvement.
Other responsibilities include (and are not limited to):

Coaching, mentoring and development of direct reports and team members to build high performing teams to support future growth

Implementing Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Identifying process inefficiencies and proposing actionable improvement plans.

Analysing operational data to uncover trends and insights and using data to drive decision-making and optimise processes

Developing and executing solutions independently to enhance team productivity.

Maintaining a positive attitude and motivating others during challenging situations.

Balancing multiple priorities and tasks efficiently without compromising quality.

Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Ensuring site safety through inductions, safe work practices, and hazard management.

Driving a high performance and engaging team culture

Building strong relationships to resolve site issues efficiently.

Assisting team managers with toolbox meetings and standard procedures.

Managing performance and career development in line with company values.

Ensuring team inductions and compliance training are completed.

Delegating tasks, tracking progress, and reporting key performance metrics.

Upholding company policies, codes of conduct, and legal requirements.

Aligning site activities with cost control strategies and warehouse processes.
The skills you'll have:

Experience in in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field.

Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and Chain of Responsibility (COR).

Experience managing teams to achieve safety, financial, and service KPIs.

Strong leadership, teamwork, and performance management skills.
-
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities.
-
Ability to drive change, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Decision-making ability under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Understanding of financial metrics in supply chain and retail.

Willingness to relocate within the company (preferred).

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and process improvements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
