We have established a new centralised Customer Insights and Analytics unit to build a deeper understanding of Kmart’s customer behaviour and drive customer centric decision making throughout the organisation.

This role will be a part of Customer Analytics working closely with Kmart’s Digital Engagement team to understand the impact of our marketing campaigns and optimise them.


What you’ll be doing


  • Drive optimisation of our marketing campaigns for a greater return on investment and provide us with a robust view our channel performance and opportunity through data and analytics. This could include leveraging techniques such as market mix modelling and multi-touch attribution

  • Create strategic recommendations that will shape future customer focused marketing activity and provide campaign optimisation inputs by presenting past learnings

  • Integrate and analyse data from multiple sources such online advertising platforms, Email\CRM systems and internal accounting and reporting

  • Create compelling, intuitive dashboards and reports with a focus on data automation, anomaly detection, and actionable data visualisation

  • Work with stakeholders to understand their business problems and drive commercial outcomes by providing impartial, hard-hitting insights based on accurate, trustworthy data

  • Provide technical expertise in data management within marketing and advertising execution platforms to ensure efficient execution of marketing campaigns

  • Manage delivery of insights by coordinating across business stakeholders as well as onsite and offshore analytics team members


To be successful in this role you’ll have:


  • Bachelor's degree (ideally in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics) with coding ability

  • Strong SQL skills are mandatory while Python or R programming skills are helpful to work with large volumes of customer data and extract insights

  • Familiarity with marketing and advertising execution platforms and experience working with enterprise data warehouses and visualisation tools

  • Prior experience in a ‘hands-on’ data analytics role

  • Retail, e-commerce or agency experience, with the ability to think outside the box, apply business logic, and develop bespoke analytical solutions

  • Ability to foster strong and impactful relationships with team members, the wider analytics organisation and business stakeholders

  • Clear and concise communication style, flexible to suit relevant audience
