We’re looking for a Workplace Operations Lead to join our Property team at Kmart Group, based at our National Support Office.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient operation of key workplace services, including mailroom and loading dock operations, sample warehouse support, and event and meeting room logistics. You’ll lead a small team of Workplace Operations Attendants and work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver reliable, high-quality workplace support services.

What you’ll be doing
Â
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day workplace operations at the Kmart Group National Support Office, with a core focus on mailroom and loading dock services.
- Provide direct leadership, coaching and support to Workplace Operations Attendants, ensuring clear priorities, safe work practices and consistent service delivery.
- Oversee the safe, timely and accurate receipt, sorting, distribution and dispatch of mail, parcels, samples and deliveries.
- Ensure strong compliance with workplace health and safety standards across the mailroom, loading dock, sample warehouse and office areas, including hazard identification and incident reporting.
- Support sample warehouse operations in partnership with key stakeholders, including accurate tracking of sample movements and participation in stocktakes and audits.
- Coordinate and support meeting room and event logistics, including room setups, furniture movements and on-site support in collaboration with the Office Experience team.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, managing requests, priorities and escalations related to workplace operations and services.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workplace operations, processes and service delivery.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising workplace, facilities or operational support teams in a corporate or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of workplace operations, including mailroom or logistics functions, facilities support and service coordination.
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, with the ability to promote safe work practices and ensure compliance.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver consistent service in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, stakeholders and service partners.
- A solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to handle issues calmly and identify practical, effective outcomes.
- A collaborative and people-focused leadership style, with a genuine commitment to supporting and developing others.
