We’re looking for a Supplier Manager to help strengthen the way we manage our contracts, suppliers and commercial relationships across Kmart.

 

In this role, you’ll support the delivery of safe, cost-effective and high-quality outcomes by improving contract management practices, monitoring performance and helping teams understand and meet their contractual obligations. 

 

You’ll play a key role in building strong supplier partnerships, managing risk and supporting the business with clear, practical commercial advice.


What you’ll be doing

 

  • Leading and supporting procurement and contract management processes in line with policy, legal and organisational requirements
  • Designing and applying effective performance management processes, KPIs and SLAs
  • Monitoring contract performance and reporting on value, compliance, supplier outcomes and opportunities
  • Managing suppliers to ensure goods, services and projects meet agreed quality, cost and timing expectations
  • Identifying procurement and contract risks, developing mitigation strategies and escalating issues where needed
  • Preparing contracts with Legal and advising stakeholders on approvals, terms, variations and Delegation of Authority
  • Tracking expiring contracts and coordinating renewals, tenders and commercial decisions
  • Providing insights and advice that support procurement strategies and informed decision making
  • Maintaining contract records, reporting databases and documentation to support transparency and strong governance
  • Helping identify contract leakage, uncontracted spend and cost-saving opportunities
     

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

You’re a strong communicator who can influence diverse stakeholder groups, build trusted relationships and support the business with practical, commercially-sound advice. You enjoy improving processes, reducing risk and ensuring that supplier relationships deliver real value.

 

You’ll also bring:

 

  • Experience managing multiple procurement or contract projects
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Experience in stakeholder, supplier and relationship management
  • Negotiation experience and confidence interpreting contract terms
  • The ability to analyse risk and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach and commitment to transparent, policy-aligned processes
