We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner to join our Strategic Agile Program focused on digitising our end-to-end Supply Chain. In this role, you’ll lead the creation of high-value digital and business outcomes across Kmart and Target, helping shape the future of how we operate at scale.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Product Owner, you’ll play a critical role in driving program success by connecting strategy, customer needs and delivery execution. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Owning, discovering, scaling, and delivering digital products aligned to strategic program initiatives, driving incremental value throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Leading and supporting Product Owners and cross functional squads to deliver customer and business value
  • Managing and prioritising product and program backlogs, balancing delivery, BAU and stakeholder expectations
  • Partnering with senior executives, sponsors and cross‑functional leaders to shape vision, roadmaps and OKRs
  • Championing the customer and ensuring squads remain focused on high‑value outcomes
  • Facilitating discovery, ideation and experimentation to identify new opportunities for value creation
  • Creating and maintaining product roadmaps (short‑term delivery and 12–24 month strategic outlook)
  • Driving strong stakeholder alignment, decision‑making and expectation management
  • Using data, insights and financial measures to prioritise work and track value realisation
  • Removing obstacles, resolving escalations and protecting teams from unnecessary distractions

 

You’ll also contribute to a high‑performance culture by role‑modelling collaborative, servant leadership and fostering continuous improvement across teams.

 

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

We’re looking for a product leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution capability. You’ll bring:

 

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner delivering outcomes in complex agile environments
  • Proven experience leading Product Owners and working across multiple squads
  • Strong knowledge of agile practices including backlog refinement, MVPs, iterative delivery and incremental value
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership level
  • Highly developed communication, facilitation, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience assessing business value, trade‑offs and financial impacts
  • A customer‑first mindset with a passion for digital, retail and emerging technologies
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to use data and insights to drive informed decisions
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with the confidence to challenge the status quo constructively
  • A collaborative leadership style that empowers teams and builds high‑trust working relationships

 

A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Technology or Product Management is preferred, along with experience working in large, complex organisations.
