As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be part of a cross‑functional squad working on modern, cloud‑based systems that support both Kmart and Target online.  You’ll contribute to a strong engineering culture where teams build, own, and operate what they deliver.

We’re evolving our platform capabilities, shifting toward AI‑enabled personalisation using tools like Vertex.  This is a great opportunity to join a team that values practical problem solving, continuous learning, and thoughtful use of modern engineering tools.

  • Taking ownership of services end‑to‑end, from development through to production support and continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to integrations across ecommerce, fulfilment, and supply chain and order fulfillment systems.
  • Applying modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and observability.
  • Using AI‑assisted tooling such as GitHub Copilot and other emerging tools to support development workflows.
  • Supporting the team’s cloud evolution, including exposure to GCP and services such as Vertex for personalisation capability.
  • Contributing to a strong engineering culture built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work through complex challenges with practical, outcome‑focused thinking.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating effectively across engineering, product, and design.
  • A mindset of ownership, with an interest in building, running, and improving the systems you contribute to.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, with an appetite to learn or further develop skills in GCP.
  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and service observability.
  • Interest in AI‑assisted development tools and how they can improve engineering productivity.
  • Experience working across retail, ecommerce, digital platforms, or integrated fulfilment systems is advantageous.
  • Exposure to mobile platforms, marketing technology, or personalisation capabilities is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within cross‑functional squads.
