As our Senior Compliance Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to shape compliance practices across one of Australia's leading retailers, partnering with stakeholders at all levels to drive meaningful business outcomes and embed a culture of compliance by design.

What you’ll be doing
develop, maintain and continuously improve our compliance framework. You'll provide practical, commercially focused advice and help embed a strong culture of compliance across the business.

Key responsibilities include:
Â
- Developing and maintaining compliance plans and assurance activities for key legislative obligations.
- Providing expert advice on regulatory compliance requirements, incidents and emerging risks.
- Supporting a "compliance by design" approach across projects, programs and business initiatives.
- Managing regulatory reporting requirements, including product safety notifications and recalls.
- Reviewing advertising and promotional materials to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering compliance training and awareness programs.
- Supporting and enhancing the Compliance Program in line with AS ISO 37301:2021.
- Monitoring compliance risks, incidents and remediation activities to support effective risk management.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- 5-7 years' experience in compliance, risk, audit, governance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment, ideally within retail or consumer-facing industries.
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capabilities.
- A continuous improvement mindset with high attention to detail.
- Experience with product safety, recalls, supplier governance or privacy compliance will be highly regarded.
