Kmart Australia’s Merchandise and Supply Chain technology group manages the movement of products from international suppliers all the way to our local Distribution Centres. As we modernise and uplift our International Supply Chain (ISC) capabilities, we are building new technology that improves visibility, accuracy, and real‑time insight across our global freight network.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering these ISC initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and international vendors to define requirements, understand data flows, and support integrations that help connect the end‑to‑end journey of our products from overseas origins to Australia and New Zealand.
What you’ll be doing

- Working with business and technical teams to capture, refine, and document requirements for new and enhanced ISC capabilities.
- Facilitating workshops to understand current processes, pain points, and opportunities to improve end‑to‑end visibility across the international supply chain - Contributing to improvements in our product tracking capabilities by helping map and close visibility gaps in the product journey.
- Translating requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for build, test, and integration activities.
- Partnering with technical SMEs to understand data structures, system interactions, and integration needs.
- Engaging with external vendors (such as shipping lines and freight partners) to support integration conversations, clarify requirements, and align deliverables.
- Supporting test planning and validation activities to ensure data and system behaviours meet expectations.
- Supporting cross‑functional collaboration across business, tech, and vendor teams to drive a consistent delivery approach.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:

- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst working on large or complex technology programs.
- Strong technical BA skills, with experience in data‑driven requirements, system behaviour, and integration conversations.
- Ability to run workshops, capture detailed requirements, and write clear, structured user stories.
- Experience working with external vendors, ideally across logistics, freight, or transport domains.
- Comfortable partnering with technical teams to understand data definitions, data flows, and system behaviours.
- Understanding of software development practices and the end‑to‑end SDLC.
- Experience contributing to test planning and supporting defect triage or data validation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business, technology, and vendor groups.
- Experience in international supply chain, shipping, logistics, or freight environments is highly advantageous.Â
