Kmart Australia’s Merchandise and Supply Chain technology group is responsible for bringing products that delight our customers from across the globe into our stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.

We are creating the next generation of retail supply chain technology with a focus across our warehouse management, transport/logistics, inventory optimisation, and demand and forecasting systems.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in the delivery of our NextGen supply chain facilities project, focusing on integration points between automated distribution centres and our Warehouse Management System (WMS). You’ll work closely with technical teams to design and build 40+ interfaces, translating functional requirements into user stories and ensuring seamless application integration.

What you’ll be doing 

 

  • Collaborating with project teams to deliver integration solutions for our next generation of automated fulfilment & distribution centres.
  • Analysing and documenting functional requirements, translating them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Working closely with developers and solution architects to design and validate system interfaces.
  • Supporting automated test case execution and ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Partnering with Integration Managers (IM) and Delivery Managers (DM) to align deliverables with project timelines.
  • Contributing to technical discussions and providing insights on integration best practices.


To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in large, complex technology projects.
  • Strong technical BA skills, with experience in system integration and interface design.
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into user stories and understand user experience implications.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Software Development, the SDLC and technical concepts.
  • Familiarity with automated testing processes and tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with confidence working across multiple squads.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and ability to work in an onshore/offshore delivery model.
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management systems is highly desirable.
