Operating at a regional level, this role plays a critical part in keeping our stores running smoothly by balancing reactive and planned maintenance, managing critical incidents, and ensuring asset uptime. You’ll work closely with our outsourced FM partner and a broad range of stakeholders to drive service delivery, influence performance and continuously improve cost, quality and safety outcomes.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in live trading environments, enjoys solving complex operational challenges and can confidently lead through influence to deliver consistent results across geographically dispersed sites.

  • Own the regional delivery of planned and reactive maintenance programs across the store network
  • Triage, prioritise and manage critical incidents to ensure safe, timely resolution and minimal trading disruption
  • Oversee work order pipelines, backlog and completion performance through CMMS systems
  • Provide operational direction to outsourced FM partners and contractors, driving performance against KPIs and SLAs
  • Conduct site inspections to verify quality and compliance of completed works
  • Manage contractor governance including onboarding, compliance, safety standards and performance reviews
  • Partner with stakeholders across stores, property and support functions to communicate priorities, risks and progress
  • Manage regional maintenance OPEX budgets, including forecasting, quote validation and cost control
  • Support CAPEX scoping, lifecycle planning and business case development for asset replacement and upgrades
  • Ensure statutory compliance programs are delivered and maintained in an audit-ready state
  • Lead incident follow-up, risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support governance, reporting and standardisation of maintenance practices across the region

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance or building services across a multi-site environment
  • Strong working knowledge of retail building services and critical plant including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and fire systems
  • Proven experience managing outsourced FM providers and contractors through KPIs, SLAs and performance frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to balance reactive maintenance, planned works and compliance in live operational environments
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, including forecasting, cost control and supporting CAPEX activities
  • Solid understanding of statutory compliance requirements, safety standards and audit readiness processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Experience using CMMS or work order systems to drive performance insights and outcomes
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate risks, priorities and progress
