Kmart is making a significant investment in the next generation of our supply chain technology, spanning international and domestic operations.  As part of this evolution, we are modernising the platforms that underpin warehouse operations, logistics, inventory flow, and fulfilment across our network.

 

We are seeking a QA Manager, on a fixed term basis, until October 2027, to provide leadership across quality assurance for these strategic programs.  This role partners closely with Engineering, Delivery, and Business teams to ensure our supply chain platforms are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose.  You’ll play a key role in shaping how quality is embedded across complex, end‑to‑end supply chain systems.

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Providing leadership across QA activities for strategic supply chain technology initiatives.
  • Defining and owning the overall test strategy across Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).
  • Leading and coaching QA and UAT resources, setting standards for quality, governance, and execution.
  • Working closely with engineering and delivery teams to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to validate end‑to‑end supply chain processes and operational outcomes.
  • Overseeing system, integration, and user acceptance testing across complex, highly integrated environments
  • Reporting on quality metrics, risks, and readiness to senior stakeholders and steering forums.


To be successful in this role you’ll have:

 

  • Extensive experience leading QA functions on large, complex supply chain technology programs.
  • Strong supply chain domain knowledge, ideally within retail or distribution environments.
  • Proven experience testing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and operate at leadership level.
  • Hands‑on understanding of system and integration testing in highly complex environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage across engineering, operations, and executive audiences.
  • A pragmatic, outcomes‑focused mindset and a commitment to doing the right thing by the business.
