We have an exciting new opportunity for a Performance SEM Marketing Executive to join our team! In this role, you will audit, implement, and optimise search and app campaigns across the Google ecosystem to deliver against KPIs and business objectives. You’ll play a key role in driving performance through data-led insights, platform innovation, and continuous testing.
What you’ll be doing
As a Performance Specialist working for Kmart you will:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Conduct comprehensive audits of existing SEM and app campaigns, identifying opportunities for performance improvement and growth.
- Build, implement, and manage campaigns across Google platforms including Search, App, Display, and Performance Max.
- Optimise campaigns on an ongoing basis, including bid strategies, audience targeting, creatives, and keyword structures.
- Leverage automation and advanced tools within SA360 and Google Ads to drive efficiency and scale.
- Test and adopt new beta features and innovations across the Google suite to enhance campaign performance.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and escalate risks where required.
- Ensure best practice processes and governance are followed across all SEM and app activity.
- Prepare regular campaign performance reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimisation across campaigns.
- Monitor campaign pacing, budgets, and spend to ensure alignment with forecasts.
- Support invoicing processes by reconciling campaign spend against finance records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-quality, performance-driven campaigns.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a performance marketing role, with a strong focus on SEM and app campaigns.
- Proven experience auditing, building, and optimising campaigns within Google Ads and SA360.
- Strong understanding of Google campaign types including Search, Performance Max, and App campaigns.
- Experience testing and scaling new features, betas, and automation within the Google ecosystem.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and campaign tracking methodologies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with campaign invoicing and financial reconciliation processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
