We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract! In this role, you will develop and own the Performance Marketing Strategy to deliver more relevant communications, improved experience, and greater customer lifetime value across paid and owned digital channels.

You will work closely with Marketing, Customer Experience & Insights, and Online Trade to develop data-driven marketing strategies that maximise incremental ROAS and engage our customers in the moments that matter to drive acquisition and retention.
 


What you’ll be doing

As a Performance Manager working for Kmart you will:          

  • Develop a performance marketing strategy and vision that delivers on business goals, creates alignment & consistency, and delivers efficiencies across paid digital channels
  • Manage and oversee the execution of the performance marketing strategy across a wide range of channels (e.g. paid search, paid social, display, affiliate marketing) to ensure best practice execution is delivered across the performance team and agency partners
  • Deliver a success measurement framework that provides both detailed insight into paid channel opportunities for performance team SMEs, as well as communicating broader trends and overall strategy performance to non-technical key business stakeholders
  • Provide detailed commercial forecasts of expected results from performance marketing activity throughout the year to provide benchmarking results as well as identifying potential challenges and opportunities for the business to deliver on objectives
  • Develop a high performing team, providing motivation & support to maximise both individual and team output - identifying opportunities for improved operational structure and processes
  • Effectively build relationships, working collaboratively with key stakeholders across a wide range of business departments - as well as external agency, tech, and media partners
  • Manage a significant functional budget area and strategic initiatives to ensure delivery to online customer, sales and profitability objectives

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • 10+ years’ experience managing multi-channel digital marketing and programmatic advertising in retail - either client-side, media agency and/or pure play DTC environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, media, communications or similar preferable
  • Demonstrable experience delivering enterprise level performance marketing strategies in a digital customer-oriented business (preferably retail)
  • Strong strategy development, analytics, negotiation, interpersonal, written, verbal and motivational skills
  • Demonstrable experience leading, developing and inspiring a team towards positive outcomes
  • Strong business acumen, particularly in a sales-focused, customer-oriented or retail environment.
