We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our People & Capability team, supporting the delivery of accurate, compliant and timely payroll outcomes across Australia and New Zealand.
This role plays a key part in supporting payroll operations, system changes and payroll projects, working closely with Payroll, Reward & Benefits, Technology teams and external vendors. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys problem solving, analysis and supporting continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the design, documentation and testing of changes to HR and payroll systems, including solution design and impact assessment.
- Assist in confirming business requirements for payroll‑related changes, enhancements and remediation activity.
- Complete User acceptance testing (UAT) and production verification testing (PVT), ensuring outcomes are fully documented for audit and governance purposes.
- Support payroll change management processes, ensuring compliance with governance and audit requirements.
- Assist with payroll projects and initiatives as required across the payroll function.
- Provide support to payroll pay runs on an ad hoc basis, including remediation work when required.
- Troubleshoot and triage payroll and time & attendance system issues as first‑level support, escalating where required.
- Support the payroll team to meet cyclical payroll calendars, cut‑off dates and compliance obligations.
- Provide basic payroll data, insights and analysis to People & Capability teams and the broader business.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- 1–3 years’ experience in payroll, HR administration, payroll systems or a closely related field.
- Working knowledge of Australian payroll, including a basic understanding of employment, tax legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Experience supporting payroll systems, testing activities or payroll change initiatives.
- Strong numerical, analytical and administrative skills, with high attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Exposure to payroll or HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors and ECP Payroll (desirable). Â
- Ability to analyse payroll data, identify issues and support effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑focused and collaborative approach.
- High levels of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
