As our fulfilment network continues to evolve, we're seeking a Fulfilment Systems Operations Manager to lead the operational performance, optimisation and continuous improvement of our Order Management & Fulfilment Platform (Manhattan Active Omni).

 

Reporting to the Head of Fulfilment Systems & Capability, this role will ensure our fulfilment platform delivers reliable, scalable and cost-effective outcomes across stores, customer fulfilment centres and transport networks.

 

Working closely with Supply Chain, Online, Technology and Operations teams, you'll drive platform performance, network optimisation and data-led decision making that improves customer experience while reducing cost-to-serve.


What you’ll be doing

 

  • Lead the day-to-day operational management and optimisation of fulfilment orchestration, availability, routing and network logic.
  • Drive improvements in fulfilment performance through analysis of cancellations, split orders, routing decisions and service outcomes.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Store Operations, Online, Technology and external stakeholders to deliver business priorities and operational excellence.
  • Utilise performance insights and analytics to identify optimisation opportunities that improve customer outcomes and network efficiency.
  • Support forecasting, capacity planning and readiness activities for peak trade periods, promotions and network changes.
  • Lead and develop a specialist team focused on fulfilment systems optimisation, performance analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Champion innovation through the adoption of advanced analytics, automation and AI-enabled solutions.
     

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Experience with Manhattan Active Omni (or like platform) (expand this to say technical and operational) (Must have for this role, desirable for Analyst)
  • Background in Operations, Product or Technology within a retail or supply chain environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful business outputs
  • Advanced experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and support decision-making through data-led recommendations.
  • Experience working in fast-paced operational environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an ability to balance customer, operational and financial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and improving business performance through data.
  • Exposure to omni-channel retail, fulfilment, logistics or supply chain operations will be highly regarded.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Analytics, Supply Chain or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
