We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Design Assistant - Apparel to join our high-performing and professional Design Team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering a positive office culture and a supportive, collaborative working environment.
In this role, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact, contributing to both the development and design of garments. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about both the creative and technical aspects of design and thrives in a dynamic setting.

What you'll be doing
Â
As the Design Assistant you will:
Â
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Designer and broader design team
- Working on technical sketches and BOM's for tech packs
- Set up & maintain range pages
- Assist with fitting samples & attending fit sessions
- Assist in the selection of fabrics, trims and accessories
- Undertake seasonal trend research
- Collating research into edited presentations
- Assisting with administrative duties & other design related tasks
Â
To be successful in this team you will have:
Â
- Fashion Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design qualification or similar
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to create accurate technical specification drawingsÂ
- Ability to learn on the job quickly
- Knowledge of construction and technical skills related to the area of product development
- Confident with Microsoft suite
- Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly with key stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to organise self and work to tight deadlines
