We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Design Assistant - Apparel  to join our high-performing and professional Design Team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering a positive office culture and a supportive, collaborative working environment.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact, contributing to both the development and design of garments. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about both the creative and technical aspects of design and thrives in a dynamic setting.

What you'll be doing

As the Design Assistant you will:

• Work collaboratively with the Senior Designer and broader design team
• Working on technical sketches and BOM's for tech packs
• Set up & maintain range pages
• Assist with fitting samples & attending fit sessions
• Assist in the selection of fabrics, trims and accessories
• Undertake seasonal trend research
• Collating research into edited presentations
• Assisting with administrative duties & other design related tasks

To be successful in this team you will have:

• Fashion Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design qualification or similar
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop
• Ability to create accurate technical specification drawings 
• Ability to learn on the job quickly
• Knowledge of construction and technical skills related to the area of product development
• Confident with Microsoft suite
• Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly with key stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to organise self and work to tight deadlines
