Join the team
We are looking for a Data & Insights Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping how our stores operate, perform and deliver for customers. Sitting at the centre of decision‑making in Central Operations, you’ll partner closely with operational and workforce leaders to turn complex data into clear, trusted and decision‑ready insights. This role is about driving outcomes - influencing priorities, optimising productivity and cost, and helping leaders make confident, evidence‑based decisions at scale.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll enable better, faster and more informed operational and workforce decisions by providing high quality data, analysis and insight across the store network.
You will:
Â
- Analyse complex operational and workforce data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and key performance drivers that impact productivity, cost and customer experience.
- Translate technical and complex analysis into clear, decision ready insights using simple, compelling narratives that support prioritisation and action.
- Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting that provide leaders with clear visibility of performance, efficiency and cost impacts.
- Extract, validate and manipulate data from multiple sources, including workforce and operational systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency and trust in all outputs.
- Own data integrity, definitions and assumptions, proactively identifying and resolving data gaps, inconsistencies and risks.
- Partner closely with Operational Excellence, Workforce Planning and central teams to ensure insights are fit for purpose and can be effectively translated into action.
Â
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior data, analytics or insights role within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong analytical capability, with experience working across complex operational and workforce datasets.
- Proven experience building decision‑ready dashboards and reporting using Power BI, with SQL or similar coding capability to extract and validate data.
- The ability to translate complex analysis into clear, concise and practical insights for senior stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of how data connects to operational performance, productivity and cost outcomes.
- Confidence partnering with and influencing senior leaders through insight, not authority.
- A commercially minded, curious and proactive approach, with the ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced environments with competing priorities.
Benefits we’ll offer you:
Â
- Flexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy. Â
- A team member discount card that gives you a discount at Kmart, Target, Officeworks and BunningsÂ
- Access to the Kmart for You benefits program which entitles you to exclusive discounts and benefits in the areas of entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and health – with over 60 suppliers! Â

- We offer inclusive parental leave, and ongoing support offered though our partnership with Circle In for team members of all backgrounds and family circumstances Â
- A dynamic learning and support programÂ
- Opportunity to fast track your career through our Mentor Program as a Mentee or MentorÂ
- A Kudos recognition program, where you are nominated by your peers to spin a wheel, to win a stack of cool prizesÂ
- Great career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers GroupÂ
