We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our team! In this digital and ecommerce focused analytics role, you will establish how online performance is analysed and reported at Kmart and Target across the online value chain (traffic through to sales), and across the key online platforms (app and web). Deliver insights to drive Online Trade function decision making and unlock opportunities that focus on positive customer and commercial outcomes. 


What you’ll be doing

As a Data Analyst working for Kmart you will:          

  • Lead, gather and define online trade report requirements to support business decision make which aligned with strategic objectives and online trade function
  • Manipulate and analyse large complex datasets, proactively provide insights and present complex concepts in an easy to understand and succinct manner
  • Partner and collaborate with other areas including but not limited to Marketing and Customer analytics to enhance digital measurement and performance that support online trade function 
  • Lead exploratory analysis to uncover insights to improve the digital customer experience, establish and test hypothesis and ability to triangulate information from different data sources 
  • Actively contribute to the development of both digital and non-digital data capability (including but not limited to GA and Big Query) evaluate data assets built to ensure requirements and quality standards are met 
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate on resolution, milestones and deliverables in a timely manner

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • 1-3 years' experience in a hands-on data analytics role with an emphasis on proactive, insights driven analysis
  • Experience in Retail Trade, ecommerce is highly regarded 
  • Experience working in complex, fast paced environments with multiple internal and external stakeholders with differing analytics requirements  
  • Advanced SQL (Snowflake) skills, Excel as well as other coding languages highly regarded
  • Experience in web analytics, particularly in Google Analytics, Big Query and Tag management 
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools particularly in PowerBI
  • Experience with Big Data and Cloud technologies, Web Analytics (Google Analytics and Biq Query) 
  • Retail mindset, with the ability to think outside the box, apply business logic, and develop bespoke analytical solutions
  • Experience in agile working methodology
