We have an exciting opportunity for a Buying Assistant to join our Apparel team at Kmart.As a Buying Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Buyers to help source and deliver great-value, great-quality product the kind that creates meaningful moments in our customers’ lives. You’ll be immersed in the end-to-end buying journey, learning how ranges come together, how decisions get made, and how product lands in stores and online ready for customers to enjoy.

What you’ll do

As a Buying Assistant at Target, you’ll:

• Manage marketing and sample coordination for all advertising, including online
• Own the product registration process post sign-off, including keycode creation, sampling and packaging coordination
• Product development & range building (from concept to customer)
• Supplier and sourcing collaboration (local and overseas)
• Commercial thinking through competitor insights, data, and deadlines
• Cross-functional partnerships with marketing, packaging, and operational teams
• Provide market insights by regularly assessing the competitive set and feeding key learnings back to the team
• Liaise with and support our supply base, working with local suppliers and an overseas sourcing team

What we’re looking for

You’re driven, efficient and enthusiastic with a curious mindset and a passion for retail and apparel. You’re energised by delivering product, you keep customers front of mind, and you build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
