Department Managers at Kmart live and breathe the Kmart values. They are responsible for recruiting, leading, developing and coaching their team members. Working along side their teams to drive motivation, high standards and create a safe working and team culture within their store.

What you’ll be doing

Department Managers play a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations of our stores. You’ll use data to track performance, forecast sales, and manage budgets to maximise productivity and deliver results.

What you’ll do:

• Lead Operations: Take ownership of a designated department, driving performance and ensuring smooth execution of daily tasks.
• Deliver Customer Excellence: Lead teams to provide exceptional service by implementing insights and driving continuous improvement.
• Build Team Capability: Recruit, coach, and train team members to foster a high-performance culture and strong engagement.
• Manage Inventory & Online Operations: Oversee stock flow and lead online fulfilment processes.
• Ensure Safety & Compliance: Implement safety processes, deliver training, and promote a safe work environment.

Total Fixed Compensation (inclusive of superannuation) $90,000 - $96,000.
