At the heart of our success is our passionate commitment to creating a high-performing and diverse workforce. We're on a mission to redefine retail, and we need a dynamic Country People & Capability Manager to play a pivotal role in achieving our goals.
As a Country People & Capability Manager you will lead a P&C Business Partner and collectively oversee 26 stores, being at the forefront of driving positive change. Your role is diverse and is focused on being the expert in all things related to people and capability.
This is a hands-on role offering direct engagement with our stores teams. As such, you will travel to stores on both islands where your presence will positively influence our teams and contribute to a thriving work environment.
What you’ll be doing

Strategically analyzing, planning, and executing P&C initiatives that empower our store teams and leaders.

Guiding the development of high-performing leadership teams

Contributing to national strategies that drive team engagement, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, Learning and Capability programs, and Talent Management.

Actively assisting with investigations and ER/IR matters

Supporting the operational team with business wide projects

Partnering with the Country Manager, Zone Managers and Support Team to collaborate on cross functional activities.

Qualifications in HR or related field

You'll need 5-7 years of hands-on HR experience, ideally in a generalist role

Line management roles with people responsibilities

Strong knowledge of New Zealand legislation

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential
-
Experience in leading and delivering projects across multiple sites
-
Experience in administering and debriefing Psychometric testing (Saville, DISC, etc.) is an asset
-
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills are a must
-
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders

Exceptional written and oral communication skills for engaging internal and external partners

Proven leadership abilities for team development and management

Outstanding time management and organizational skills, combined with a knack for multitasking

An aptitude for comprehending complex problems and projects and conveying them to a wide range of audiences
