Job Title: Quality Improvement Engineer (General Merchandise) 

Location: Ho Chi Minh City/ Ha Noi, Vietnam

 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all our products meet contracted pp standards.

• Drive ‘End 2 End’ (E2E) production process, Inc. pre-production process, in-line QC and end of line inspections to ensure clear understanding and compliance of KAS quality standards.

• Train, conduct and support the compliance to Final Statistical Inspection (FSI) process for tms and nominated Self Inspection Factory (FCA) and 3rd party inspections.

• Guide and develop defect analysis and root cause prevention using DSS plus and supporting Quality Management Systems (QMS) and data sources.

• Validate inspection integrity with the FCA and monitor the progress of skip inspections on a timely basis with the PU management.

• Drive the application of the Quality Manual/guidelines MMS and HTM at supplier and third party and factory level.

• Support platform inspection as necessary

• Support and monitor PU product safety processes inc. needle and sharp tool controls, metal detection and all aspect of child safety testing according to Kmart standards.

• Ensure the factory have all development and QA sample reports and good records of corrections to contracted agreed standard, guidance notes to be shared at the PPM.

• Ensure that the correct seal sample, trim card, complete Quality Master file and factory pre shipment are available and functioning correctly.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent discipline.

• 5-7 years' of working experience in quality control, business/buying office is preferable.

• Familiar with Australian or European technical standard requirements.

• Good communication skills both in English.

• Strong integrity and professional ethics.

• Self-discipline, good team player, self-motivated.

• Frequent business travel is required.
