Title:  Graphic Designer

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, interpret and implement global print and pattern trends to work collaboratively with apparel designers and apparel merchandise teams to grow sales through great looking everyday product for a relaxed lifestyle, articulated through effective communication (visual and verbal).
  2. Create commercial, customer focused, coordinated graphics, applied to product ranges that best reflects Kmart’s ‘handwriting’ to grow incremental sales. This is executed through collaboration with your fellow designer, tasteful aesthetics and eye for trend.
  3. Work collaboratively with the Melbourne Design team and Suppliers to generate commercial artwork for mass production.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in menswear graphics and/or apparel design (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Ability to create tech packs and assist with garment development.
  • A strong understanding of trends and cultural references relevant to the trend/youth market.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal – essential for effective collaboration with the Melbourne team.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Proactive mindset with a collaborative and flexible approach.
