KAS Pty Ltd (KAS) and Target Australia Sourcing (TAS) are part of the KAS Group Asia. We are now looking for a Senior Sourcing Merchandiser for KAS GM Home team who will be responsible for:

 

  • Sourcing and development activities to support sales and profitability growth
  • Diversify and rationalize supplier base to deliver sourcing strategy
  • Operational planning for the department and execution of GM projects

 

Job Accountabilities

 

  1. Sourcing and development of new suppliers and new products
  • Source and develop new suppliers & products at right quality with lowest price
  • Coordinate buying trips and facilitate buying meetings

 

  1. Supplier Negotiation and Management
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, MOQ, delivery date and other aspects for both new line and repeating line
  • Develop and execute supplier engagement plans to enhance supplier capabilities with priority being pre-defined.
  • Supervise Production Merchandiser on supplier performance improvement.

 

  1. Critical path management
  • Set up end-to-end (from new line sourcing to delivery) critical path at department and/or supplier level for each buying season
  • Establish critical paths of other tasks when required
  • Govern the critical path execution

 

  1. Task Planning and Project Execution
  • Develop project execution plans and department-level tasks
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders and establish a prioritized task list.
  • Take the lead in executing these tasks and ensure effective governance of deliverables

 

Job Requirements

 

  1. Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 7 years of solid merchandising experience in relevant categories, preferably in sizable sourcing office
  • Diploma or above in relevant field.
  • Experiences in sourcing diversification is required.

 

  1. Technical Skills
  • Sound knowledge of merchandising systems and procedures
  • Supplier base SWOT analysis
  • Understanding of cost breakdown and awareness of raw material price impact
  • Data management systems, costing sheets, etc.
  • Computer literacy.

 

  1. Traits/Abilities
  • Self-motivated, with strong sense of commitment and able to work under pressure.
  • Well organized, proactive and with strong sourcing, price negotiation and interpersonal skill.
  • Solid analysis, summarizing and prioritization abilities
  • Good time management, fast pace to handle massive new product development
  • Able to work independently with buyers and suppliers.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
