The Data & Analytics team exists to drive competitive advantage through best-in-class data, analytics, and insights for the Kmart group. This team comprises of 75 members globally – bulk of them based out of India. The team in India was set up in July 2019 with 10 members and has grown considerably over the last 2 years. Our teams are embedded within each business function and work on strategic projects such as customer engagement, supply chain transformation, product quality etc  across the Kmart group. We are paving the way to bringing in a data culture in the wider organization and we get to see this impact in the form of improved sales, cost savings and customer satisfaction. Everyday is a new learning. We use the latest cloud platform tools, data engineering practices and data science methods to achieve our goals.

What you’ll be doing 

• Utilize expertise in Power BI services to develop and maintain impactful reports and dashboards
• Manage and optimize gateways to ensure seamless data flow between on-premises and cloud based data sources
• Optimize report performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and responsiveness
• Oversee PowerBI platform management activities including user access, permissions, utilization and data source connections
• Demonstrate proficiency in data modelling, SQL and experince with both structured and unstructured languages to effectively manipulate and analyze data for reporting purposes
• leverage AWS knowledge to integrate PowerBI solutions with AWS services and optimize performace with AWS environment
• Lead the deisgn, development and implementation of comprehensive BI solutions to meet business requirements and drive informed decision making
• Optimize data models, ETL processes and data pipelines to support BI reporting and analytics needs
• Continously monitor and evaluate the performance of BI solutions and platform, identifying areas of improvement and implemeting enhancements to optimize performance and scalibility
• Implement best practices for data governance, data quality and data security to maintain the integrity and reliability of BI solutions
• Manage a team of BI developers provide guidance, mentoring, and technical leadership to ensure the successfuly delivery of BI projects
• Ability to lead projects and team

Technical Skills

• Power BI
• AWS - S3,IAM, API Gateway, EKS,EC@, EMR, Lamda, Cloud Formation Etc.
• SQL - Snowflake or other cloud Data warehouse solutions, Oracle, MS SQL Server
• Python, Power shell
• Docker, Kubernetes, Jnekins, Airflow

Traits/ Abilites

• Strong Problem-Solving Skills
• Excellent Analytical Abilites
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and SQL
• Knowledge of bigdata technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and NoSQL Data bases
• Experience with data modelling and database design
• Ability to design and implement data pipelines and ETL Processes

Work Experience

• 7-10 years of experience designing and developing power BI solutions, including data medelling, report design and dashboard developement
• Proficiency in DAX, SQL and other data analysis and visualization tools.
• Strong expereince in publishing content to powerBI service
• Ability to design powerBI application with custom target audiences
• Desirable proficiency in PowerBI services, REST API utilities and Azure AD integration
• Expereince gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable insights and reports
• experience collabrating with stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists and IT teams to understand business needs and deliver high-quality solutions
• strong python programming and SQL databases
