Team name: Merchandise & Supply Chain

Merchandise & Supply Chain provides capability of IT product development for Sourcing, Merchandizing, and Inventory functions of the Kmart Group's Retail business. The team generates insights that enables business teams to make critical decisions.

Primary purpose of the role

Engineering Practices - Contribute to and evolve engineering practices to be used across all ecommerce software engineering teams to build and maintain a contemporary engineering approach.

Engineering Culture - Develop a strong and measurable engineering capability through introduction of new team members continued capability uplift of existing members.

Solution Delivery - Ensure the delivery of high quality, fir for purpose solutions delivered through agile development approaches across multiple locations.

Technology Strategy - Contribute to overall technology and strategic direction to ensure that engineering interests are considered and included.

Leadership - Develop and lead a high performing engineering team, coaching and mentoring to ensure continual performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Translation and alignment of business strategies into scalable and
• Ability to solve difficult technical issues.
• At least 5 years in an IT leadership role
• Experience in leading change within technology organizations
• Proven extensive experience in managing technology teams.
• Experience architecting and implementing application solutions in a dynamic environment.
• Proven experience in modern engineering practices
• Understanding of contemporary development practices, processes and technology
• Service delivery experience
• Multiple internal and external stakeholders. Changing prioritizing in a dynamic environment
