Purpose of the Role

  • Senior finance leader responsible for establishing governance, controls, and financial processes in a fast-evolving international business.
  • Expected to operate independently in an ambiguous environment and create structure where limited precedent exists.

Key Requirements

  • Strong expertise in accounting, controllership, IFRS, ERP systems, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business performance analysis.
  • Ability to assess accounting treatments, recommend policy improvements, and provide strategic financial guidance.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, conflict resolution, and cross-border communication skills.
  • Comfortable working autonomously across multiple geographies and time zones.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven finance leadership experience with strong accounting and controlling capability.
  • Industry background can be flexible (retail, sourcing, shared services, product, services, startups).
  • International exposure preferred, especially across Southeast Asia, but not mandatory.
  • Agile, hands-on, entrepreneurial, and able to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Able to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Role Scope

  • Lead monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial controls, compliance, receivables/payables, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Own agreement reviews, corporate governance, and corporate-secretary related finance responsibilities.
